Farmer Jerry says

“I sat in a Sound-Gard cab for the first time on a 4250, and I thought I'd died and gone to farming heaven. Felt more like driving a car than a tractor, if you ask me.”

About this model

  • 1:16 die-cast metal replica
  • Original 1982 National Farm Toy Show release
  • Made by Ertl for Toy Farmer

Ertl built this John Deere 4250 in 1:16 scale for the fifth National Farm Toy Show, held in Dyersville, Iowa, on November 6, 1982. It was the sixth special tractor Ertl made for Toy Farmer, picked the same year John Deere unveiled the real 4250 to dealers. Ertl's certificate letter states that exactly 1,550 units were produced. Each one is engraved on the left side of the engine with "5th Annual National Farm Toy Show, One of 1,550" and the show date, and carries a Toy Farmer Collector Series decal on the front grille.
