About Farm Diecast

What this is

Farm Diecast is a catalog of die-cast farm toy models, built as a reference for collectors. It documents every model in a series by manufacturer, scale, year, and variant, and tracks secondary-market prices from live marketplace listings. The goal is a single, independent place to browse a brand's full production run, see what each model is worth, and find active listings without digging through scattered auction results.

The archive started with the ERTL Precision Classics series, a numbered 25-model line of John Deere tractor and implement replicas produced from 1990 to 2004. It is expanding to cover Case IH, Ford, New Holland, and International Harvester models across multiple series.

How the data works

Every model listing is researched and verified against manufacturer records, series documentation, and collector references. Prices are sourced from official marketplace APIs, not scraped. Each listing is matched to a specific model by UPC, manufacturer stock number, or a title term unique to that model in the catalog.

Three data tiers are planned: eBay active and sold listings (live today), auction house results, and community submissions. The pricing methodology is documented in full on the About our pricing page.

For collectors

Collectors completing a series, valuing a single model, or researching a new collecting area will find a browseable record of every known release with current market data. The price guide rolls up values across all models, and each model page shows active listings, recent sold data, and price history when available.

Farm Diecast is designed for the way collectors actually work: quick lookup by series or model number, honest signaling about data quality, and a clear path to verify and buy on the marketplace.

What is covered

The archive covers die-cast farm toy models at common collecting scales: 1:16, 1:32, 1:64, and others. Models are organized by brand, series, category, and year. Each model record includes manufacturer, scale, release year, series number, UPC, and physical specifications where available.

Brands currently in the catalog include John Deere (ERTL Precision Classics), with Case IH, Ford, New Holland, and International Harvester models being added. The catalog is updated as new data becomes available.

Who is behind it

Farm Diecast started as a way to preserve and catalog my late father's collection of John Deere scale-model tractors. He was a farmer who began the collection by giving four models, one for each of his sons. After he passed, I wanted to honor that legacy and build something useful for collectors like him: a single place to browse a manufacturer's full production run, see what models are worth, and find active listings without digging through scattered auction results.

This is an independent project built by a collector, for collectors. It is not affiliated with John Deere, Case IH, CNH Industrial, AGCO, or any other equipment manufacturer, their dealers, or licensees. All brand names, model names, and trademarks are the property of their respective owners and appear here only to identify the collectible products documented in this catalog.
