Privacy policy

Overview

Farm Diecast is an independent reference catalog and price guide for die-cast farm toys. This policy describes what information the site collects from visitors, how it is used, and how a visitor can contact Farm Diecast about their data. Farm Diecast does not sell personal information.

Information collected

Farm Diecast collects information in three ways:

Site analytics. Farm Diecast uses Cloudflare Analytics Engine to record aggregate usage events, including page views and outbound marketplace link clicks. These events may include the page path, link destination, referring page, approximate price context, and campaign parameters (such as utm_source) present in the visitor's URL. This data is used to understand which pages and listings collectors find useful and is not used to build individual visitor profiles for advertising.

Contact form submissions. The contact form collects the name, email address, and message a visitor chooses to submit, along with the submitting IP address. This information is stored to respond to the message and to detect abusive or automated submissions, and is not used for marketing.

Price-alert email signups. The price-alert signup available on model pages collects an email address and the model it was submitted for, along with the submitting IP address. This information is used solely to send the double opt-in confirmation and, once confirmed, transactional price-drop and new-listing alerts for that model. A subscriber can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every alert email.

Cookies and tracking

Farm Diecast does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Analytics events are sent to Cloudflare Analytics Engine and, in the visitor's browser, to a dataLayer used for internal engagement reporting. The contact form and price-alert form use Cloudflare Turnstile, a challenge widget that runs a verification check in the browser to filter automated submissions; it does not track visitors across other sites.

Outbound links to eBay, Amazon, and other merchant partners are affiliate links (see below). When a visitor clicks these links, affiliate networks (such as Rakuten Advertising) and the target marketplaces may use cookies, web beacons, or tracking technologies to track sales and credit commissions. Farm Diecast does not control and is not responsible for tracking performed by these third parties once a visitor clicks a link or visits their site.

Affiliate disclosure

Farm Diecast participates in affiliate advertising programs, including Rakuten Advertising, the eBay Partner Network, and the Amazon Associates Program, along with other marketplace programs featured on the site. When a visitor clicks a marketplace link on this site and makes a qualifying purchase, Farm Diecast may earn a small commission at no additional cost to the visitor. Affiliate relationships do not influence product descriptions, price data, or editorial content; information is researched independently. See legal & disclosures for the full disclosure.

How information is used

Information collected through the channels above is used to operate the site, respond to visitor messages, deliver requested price alerts, and understand aggregate usage patterns so the archive and price guide can be improved. Farm Diecast does not share contact form or price-alert data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Data retention

Contact form submissions and price-alert subscriber records are retained for as long as needed to respond to a message or maintain an active subscription. Analytics events are aggregate and are not tied to an individual visitor's identity.

Children's privacy

Farm Diecast is a general-audience reference site and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
