Original 1990 Precision Classics release

The inaugural release in ERTL's Precision Classics line, this 1:16 die-cast replica recreates the early unstyled John Deere Model A as it appeared on factory steel wheels, before rubber tires became standard. Introduced in 1990, the model set the tone for the series with separately cast lugs, an openable hood, steerable front wheels, and a faithfully detailed two-cylinder engine. The real Model A, produced from 1934, refined the row-crop configuration John Deere had introduced six years earlier on the GP and built the reputation the company carried into the row-crop era.
