The Model A Tractor with 290 Series Cultivator
Farmer Jerry says
“Slap a cultivator on the 'A' and you've got yourself a weed-pulling machine. You had to watch your row pretty close, though, or you'd be replanting instead of cultivating!”
About this model
- 1:16 die-cast metal replica
- Narrow / row-crop
- Includes mounted cultivator
- Original 1991 Precision Classics release
The second Precision Classics release pairs the unstyled John Deere Model A with a period-correct mounted cultivator, capturing the tractor as a working row-crop unit. The detachable cultivator gangs demonstrate the mounted-implement system that made the Model A so versatile on the farm. Released in 1991, it builds on the debut model with added implement tooling while retaining the openable hood, steerable front, and exposed two-cylinder engine.
