The Model 4020 Diesel Tractor
Farmer Jerry says
“Now here's a legend. The 4020 changed everything for us. With that narrow front end, you could turn on a dime at the end of the corn row. Best tractor Deere ever made, if you ask me.”
About this model
- 1:16 die-cast metal replica
- Narrow (tricycle)
- Three-point
- Original 1992 Precision Classics release
ERTL's 1:16 Precision Classics rendering of the John Deere 4020 in its narrow-front, row-crop form, arguably the most iconic American farm tractor of its era. Released in 1992, the replica captures the New Generation styling, detailed Powershift-era driveline, three-point hitch, and the tricycle front end favored for cultivating row crops. The full-size 4020, built from 1963 to 1972, remains a benchmark by which classic tractors are judged.
