While the row-crop version of the John Deere 70 appeared earlier in the series, this 2003 Precision Classics entry captures the standard-tread configuration with a fixed wide-front axle, lower stance, and heavier drawbar suited for orchard work, road grading, and heavy pull tasks where a narrow front end would be a liability. The standard 70 diesel shares the same landmark engine as its row-crop counterpart but presents an entirely different working character. Together the two complete the Model 70's story in 1:16 scale.
