Ertl built this John Deere 3010 Diesel WF (chase) in 1:16 scale as the National Farm Toy Show's official tractor for 2021. Every November since 1978 the show has brought a new tractor to Dyersville, Iowa, and this was that year's entry. It is the rare chrome and silver chase variant paired with the same year's regular John Deere 8960 4WD release. It originally sold for $140.00 through Toy Farmer's direct order form. Production of the John Deere 3010 Diesel WF (chase) stayed limited to the show run and its mail-order audience, with no reissue since, so today it is a secondary-market piece like the rest of the series.
