Ertl produced this 1:16 scale Case 2590 as the official National Farm Toy Show exclusive for 1981. Like every other year's release, it was tied to that November's show in Dyersville, Iowa. Production of the Case 2590 stayed limited to the show run and its mail-order audience, with no reissue since, so today it is a secondary-market piece like the rest of the series.
