For 2005, Ertl chose the Oliver 2655 4WD as the National Farm Toy Show's official 1:32 scale release. It carries on the show's tradition of a new tractor release each November in Dyersville, Iowa. The Oliver 2655 4WD was never a general retail item, only available through the show and Toy Farmer's mail order, and has stayed out of production ever since, keeping it firmly in secondary-market territory today.
